Xavier History
The foundation of Xavier International College in the year 2000 with the approval of the Ministry of Education (MoE) was a modest beginning with the Cambridge International O Levels and AS/A Levels programmes of the University of Cambridge, UK. With over nine years’ of its existence, Xavier International College has established itself as an organization of character. All along it has maintained a deep-seated dedication to academic excellence and all round development of students. Currently Xavier International has garnered an unfathomable reputation as the successful upcoming institute of excellent academic opportunities and facilities for extra and co curricular activities.
With the successful implementation of Cambridge International A Levels and 10+2 programmes, the College at the tertiary level in affiliation with Tribhuvan University Nepal, has run Bachelor of Arts in Social Work (B.A. in S.W.), Bachelor in Environment Science (B.Sc Env), Bachelor in Microbiology (B.Sc MB), and Bachelor in Business Studies (BBS). The past performance of the students at 10+2, A level and at Bachelor level proves the commitment of the institution to prepare excellent students at the university level region and beyond.

About Xavier International College
Xavier International College was established in this country about eight years ago. Since then, the college has experienced an educational explosion and an influence of new students and faculty, trusting Xavier’s vision toward innovative heights. The college has presently grown to become a dynamic academic organization, meeting the needs and aspirations of a new Nepal and the order of a new world and new generation. Situated at Kamalpokhari-Kalopul, Kathmandu Xavier International Higher Secondary School and College, affiliated to Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB), Nepal and to University of Cambridge, UK is a +2 and A Level college for Science, Commerce and Humanities.

Xavier International Montessori School and Xavier International School up to SLC level and a Senior Wing of Xavier International College, a three years degree courses BBS, BSc, BSW and BA affiliated to Tribhuvan University, Nepal.

1) College Facilities
Library
Xavier International College has a central library with well stocked new arrivals and updated publications of texts, and reference books along with relevant materials on various subjects in hardcopies and electronic version. The central library at Xavier International College has extensive opening hours from 6:30 AM-5:00 PM during both term and vacation periods. The library has more than 2500 items and offer access to more than 500 journals mainly in electronic form. Beside this the library is full of under mentioned resources.
a) Journal and periodicals such as Time, Economist, Scientific America, National Geography, South Asian Journal, Reader digest, Leadership excellence, Competition success review, Himal, Nepal earth science and others.
b) Syllabi and Syllabus support materials and stock of past question papers,

d) Assortment of Audio/Visual materials in (Cassettes/CDs) VCR/LCD/OHP, slides, Video and Audio.
Computer and IT Facilities
The college has a modern computer laboratory with the latest of the art computers, which can be used as stand alone or network modes. The college has leading academic and business software applications, which can be installed on students own PCs for flexible studying. The college has Multimedia and 24hours internet facilities connected by a wired technology. We also have staff on hand to answer your general IT queries, while academic departments offer support in subject specific software.
Laboratories and Equipments
The college has a well equipped environment science, microbiology, chemistry, botany, zoology and psychology laboratories with the necessary equipments where practical classes are conducted under the supervision of respective subject teachers and professionals.
Health Services
The college has its own infirmary equipped with modern first aid and facilities as well as beds for the student to rest for those suffering acute minor illness who would not otherwise be able to cope on their own, In case of the emergency medical treatment every effort will be made to notify the concerned parents/guardians as soon as possible. The college has no financial obligation for any injury and illness that may occur during the travel activities.
Counseling Services
The college will provide counseling services for academic advancement, personal problems, career prospects and higher studies. The counseling service provides a welcoming and friendly environment where students/parents can feel comfortable and most crucially, secure in the knowledge that whatever is said will be safeguard by our strict standards of confidentiality.
Community/Volunteer Work
The college adopt VDC as a beneficiary and work in coordination with that VDC and Scout providing health facilities, environmental awareness, social justice and the other benefits for the less privileged, especially old age, children, orphans and women in association with scouts. The college shall organize charity shows, fetes, exhibition, blood donation, eye check up, and dental health camp programmes to supplement the philanthropic services.
Club Councils and Committees
The college has a club which is exclusively for the college students and the faculty called the “Club the Xavier” under which a set of clubs have been functioned. Research Projects and Training
The students are assigned with a research project in each subject. The student should compulsory submit the project and perform individual presentation. For this every research student is allocated with an academic supervisor team, comprising a main supervisor and at least one other support supervisor. The supervisors will help to formulate the research topic and offer advice to carry out and write up research. All the students should undergo appropriate research training and the college runs a research training program that is designed to support research students through their studies and to develop skills for their future careers.
Seminar/Workshop/Guest Lecture
The college organizes scheduled seminar and workshop based on the different national and international day. These seminar and workshop will be chaired by the different resource person. The college makes arrangement of the guest lecture in different topic and subject in order to provide in depth knowledge and share the experience with the experts. Different training program are conducted in the particular subject in order to strengthen the capacity of the students.
Games and Sports
The college has sufficient area in to indoor games, basketball, lawn tennis courts and table tennis. The college can provide fields for football, cricket and other games and sports.
Cafeteria
The college has a cafeteria to provide light refreshment at subsidized cost and hence, purely on a nonprofit basis. The facility provided will be exclusively for the college students.
Hostel Facilities
The college has a separate hostel for boys and girls for outstation students. The kitchen serves well balanced and nutritious meal for both vegetarians and non vegetarians. Snacks are provided in between meals.
Parking Facilities
The college has its own parking ground where students can park their vehicles. The college parking ground can accommodate 150 motorcycles and 5-10 medium sized vehicles (cars, jeep etc).
